A recent Intel pilot demonstrated cost savings and user productivity benefits using a session initiation protocol (SIP)-based Internet protocol (IP) private branch exchange (PBX), VoIP desk phones, VoIP softphones, digital-to-IP phones and wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi*) SIP mobile handsets.
